On a steep slope overlooking Boulder, CO
Start at the Chatauqua Ranger's cottage at: 39 59.962N - 105 16.959W
Drive uphill for 3.4 miles on the odometer and look for a turn off leading to the Flagstaff Amphitheater at 39 59.842N - 105 18.541W.
In summer you can continue driving uphill for another .75 miles, in winter you must walk from the turn off.
Find the amphitheater and start looking, you are close.
This site is quite well used in the warmer months so be discreet. The cache is a rectangular rubbermaid container.
"It looks like a map", was what I said when I first saw the view from near this cache nearly 30 years ago. Now you can retrieve interesting maps from this cache but you must leave one if you take one. If you don't have a published map to leave, draw one of your own with the materials provided.
