Sit and watch the world sail by.
A quiet place by Sydney Harbour surrounded by houses, apartments and maritime businesses. Its a bit of a walk from Milsons Point Station or you can park in the narrow streets. The main park is a magnet for picnickers, lovers and strollers.
Gladys Carey lived nearby and took it upon herself to establish and look after this little reserve which till then had been unused council land alongside a public stairway to the cove.
You can read a nice little story by Jim Low at (visit link) where you will also be able to hear his song about Miss Carey. It looks like the council's dedication sign has been removed, but the area is still being kept quite nicely.
This is a little chameleon cache, about the size of a butter tub, so bring your own pen and small swaps.
Meanwhile take a moment to reflect on days gone by and Miss Carey's charming gift to the people of North Sydney.
