Hidden on Thanksgiving Day, 2003. Cache is on county parkland near a trail originally intended to be developed and paved in the future as part of a community loop. Once completed this trail would have eventually linked up with the existing paved trail in the Olney Mill Family Park nearby. I’m not sure whether this is still in the plans though. It’s been over 20 years and running with this cache here now and I haven’t seen much evidence of progress toward that goal.
Approaches may vary to this one. Suggested route: park by the trailhead at N39 10.811 W 077 04.563. A pleasant hike of about a half mile one way. The cache is currently a small Rubbermaid container with a blue top. Cache history: Replaced the container, logbook, and all contents on 12/4/05, 2/16/08, and 4/26/14. Original cache thought to be gone so replaced and relocated cache slightly on 11/20/16. Original cache found by cacher GeoAPPs on 7/20/17 at a spot approximately 100 ft from original hide. On 10/1/17, consolidated them at the migrated location, as original location had degraded. Replaced container and all contents again on 5/10/20 and 6/15/24. Relocated container yet again and replaced cache and contents on 5/26/25.
