Geocache Description:

Cache is near Swanson Northeast but there is no direct route between the two.

Cache is a 35 mm film canister. Proceed with care because it is in a location vulernable to creepy, crawlly things in warm seasons. After you have found it, sit down and contemplate the peaceful easy feeling of upper Swanson. Then consider the troublesome thought, "What if cache were on other side of creek? That is parkland over there but is it accessible without crossing posted private property?" If you swim to get to it, how do you keep GPS dry? A trained dog? A canoe? Crossing Cowskin on ice?

This mixture of grassland and forest is probably what much of central and eastern Kansas resembled before 1850. If I can figure out how to get there, this may become first stage in a multi that would end over there.

Fans of Square Bob Sponge Pants will be unhappy to learn that he has no chance at all to get inside the cache container out of the cold and rain. I am not at all sure he deserves to be the honorary mascot/guardian of this cache.

The serenity of this location may be disturbed by the thorns near the cache. After finding it, sit back and enjoy the peaceful easy feeling because you (unlike the cache) are already standing on the ground.
