Geocache Description:

From en.wikipedia.org: In military terms, a demilitarized zone (DMZ) is an area, usually the frontier or boundary between two or more groups, where military activity is not permitted, usually by treaty or other agreement. Often the demiltarized zone lies upon a line of control and forms a de-facto international border.

Demiltarized zones have also unintentionally become wildlife preserves as they cause the land which they sit on to be too dangerous for construction.

=================

Between the post office property, and a City of Winter Springs retention pond is a small DMZ. Wide enough for a person to fit through, but fenced on both sides of you. It goes back about 100 feet. This DMZ seemed the perfect place to test out a new geocaching container. On one side of you, there is a parking lot. On the other side, a retention pond. Scout out your approach, and go in a snag it. The area is well defended on both sides.

Note: There is no need to climb any fences. The cache is within the DMZ.
