The cache is located just off the road to Yankee reservoir. Park at the Vermillion Castle trail head.
The cache is about 320 feet from where you park at an altitude of about 7000 feet.
Start up the trail…
The container is a medium sized ammo can.

Since you’re here, you might want to continue on the trail, it’s somewhat steep and winding at first – you will come to a switchback where the trail seems to end – head north for a short distance and you will see the trail again. When you get to the top the trail, it flattens out and heads east just under some cliffs. When you get out to the end there’s some cool scenery. Take a break and appreciate some of natures finest all around you. It’s a good trail to take along your four footed companion, wear appropriate shoes, bring a camera, water and maybe a lunch.
