Remember December 7th, 1941(Olomana) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

CRider: This was a long time coming. The cache location is visited by to many muggles and there is really no good place to hide it. So I'll archive it and if someone else wants to put one up there go for it.

Geocache Description:

Just follow the "State" trail, you can't get lost as long as you don't fall off a cliff with no one around to see you go "bye bye". The No hikers beyond this point refers to the road not the Olomana Trail. Turn left at the sign.

Because of jerks breaking into cars along the beginning of the golf course road you might find it safer to park at the Maunawili District Park and walk along the road to the trail head.

If you have never climbed Olomana then do some research. Although it is a state trail and very open it is no place for childern or those faint of heart. It is very steep in places and if you are afraid to look down hundreds of feet the DO NOT attempt this hike. Ropes are in place where needed but you need to be a skilled hiker. NO CHILDREN for sure.

Dayle Turner thoughts

The cache is a cylindrical plastic container that once was full of something good to eat. It is now painted camo and is tied to a tree. Please be careful for your own safety and the continued existance of the cache and PLEASE cover the cache w/vegetation to make sure it stays hidden and on the mountain.
