Once you have parked, calculate the coordinates to stage two where you will find posted coordinates for a camouflaged 3" x 6" cylinder at stage three. This is a very small park so stealth will be required if anyone else is in the area.
Stage 1: Count the number of picnic tables located in the park.
Multiply the number of picnic tables by 8 and add this number to the last three digits of your N parking coordinates "160".
N 33. 05. _ _ _
Multiply the number of picnic tables by 9 and subtract this number from the last three digits of the W parking coordinates "691".
W 097. 01. _ _ _
Stage 2: You are looking for the coordinates to stage 3.
Stage 3: Have fun!
Please Note: Coordinates for stage 3 were averaged after having a wide range of readings on several visits. Update: Checked coords again on 12/10/03 walking all stages 4 times had the same problems. Sometimes GPS showed 3-12 feet sometimes 21-37 feet! Haven't made any adjustments in posted coordinates yet. We wanted to provide a little challenge in this small park by not using hints so feel free to post the coordinates you find.
We do not recommend doing this cache at night even though no park hours are posted. The final stage is not really kid friendly and is also a CITO area. The park does provide picnic areas with grills, a short paved trail, lots of red rocks to play on, and is adjacent to a small inlet of Lake Lewisville. We hope you enjoy your visit.
