From the intersection of Hwy 64 and 276 in Pisgah Forest drive east on US 276 into Pisgah National Forest. Walk back to Davidson River Campground road and turn left, cross the river and immediately turn right onto the Exercise Trail.
You will have an easy hike of less than .5 miles one way along a scenic forest trail. WARNING, if you have cached this area before you may get flash backs when you arrive at the cache location.
If you are following the directions provided, the cache will be less than 6 feet off the left side of the trail. You are looking for a small, pill bottle covered with black electrical tape. It also contains a home-made log. It is covered with leaves, moss and bark. Please be sure to rehide it well, as there are MANY non-geocachers who will pass within FEET of it.
Please remember that animals have a much keener sense of smell than we humans. Please do not place candy, food or any other scented items such as soaps or candles in the cache, as animals often mistake these items as food, and will destroy the cache container trying to get to it. Also, please hide the cache container so it is not visible, so that other geocachers may enjoy in the hunt. - Thanks
