Geocache Description:

UPDATED: New Location as of 11/07/04! This is a year-round cache for the Christmas Season along the Des Plaines River.

In the spirit of Christmas and in combination with an unusual Christmas card, we hid this cache in a quiet part of the woods. Pull off the Portwine road to park at N42.08.800 W087.53.845 and follow the bridle path (if you park in the forest preserve parking lot, it is farther and you will have to cross a creek).

The cache is a gallon-sized clear plastic jar filled with Christmas ornaments. Sign the log and take an ornament home for your tree, but please leave something. Merry Christmas!

Bonus: Every time we have hiked here we have seen deer.
