This is the third and final stage of a multi-cache. The coordinates provided here are the coordinates for a parking area near the cache location. To get the coordinates for the cache itself, you must first find stage 2, the “Dwight Mission” cache. The first stage of this multi-cache is the “May Hill Social Club” cache, which contains the coordinates for “Dwight Mission”.
Although I love searching for multi-caches, I do not like the fact that you can only log one cache find for a multi-cache after finding the last stage. I have spent hours looking for intermediate stages of some multi-caches, and although I may have found as many as 4 or 5 other caches to get to the final one, I can log only one find for my efforts. This multi-cache changes all that! Each stage has a log for the finder to sign, in addition to the coordinates for the next stage. Therefore, if one does not wish to continue to search for the remaining stages, then one can at least log a find for the stage they have found.
This cache is named for the boat launch area nearby. The boat launch is a favorite of fishermen year round, so beware of muggles during your search! Across the road from the boat launch is a city park that was originally called the Ouita Park, but was renamed years ago to Cephas Washburn Park. (See the information on the “Dwight Mission” cache to learn about Cephas Washburn.) The park has picnic facilities and a playground. It also has an access point to the western end of the Bona Dea Trail System, popular with local walkers, runners, and cyclists.
The cache container is very small (too small for trade items) and well camouflaged, and contains only a log. Please bring your own writing instrument.
When you find this cache please take note how it is hidden and replace it back as you found it so those following you may experience the same challenge.
