The snow was falling when I placed my newest cache on Bristol's beautiful waterfront. You should access this cache from the Claire D. McIntosh Wildlife Refuge. Follow the trail, then the boardwalk. THERE IS NO REASON TO LEAVE THE BOARDWALK! You can access the walk from the East Bay Bike Path as well, but you cannot make your walk shorter by trying to get to the bike path rather than the refuge - the land and roads on either side of the refuge are private property.
Women might have an easier time with this one because of smaller hands, but an adult should definitely do the removing and replacing. This place will be busy in the spring and summer. You will need to be discreet. During busy months, it may be best to go early or later in the day.
This is a great place for kids. There is a gift shop and hands-on kid's museum at the center.
With substantial snow on the ground, I imagine skiing or snow shoeing in from either the refuge or the bike path would be great. The cache itself should be unaffected by snow.
