Thanks to Bigger Dog 007 who replaced the cache container awhile back with a small container that now has room for trade items and small travel bugs. He also reocomends closed shoes are for the last 50 yards but it can be done in flip flops if you are very surefooted.If you are interested in snorkeling on the island I would suggest you bring your equipment with you as this appears to be the best location to snorkel and see some fish and coral. I was on the Inaugural Cruise in the US of the Oosterdam and was hoping there would be a cache on the island. Now there is one.
Admin note: The cache was placed in ignorance of the guidelines prohibiting "vacation caches". An honest attempt was later made to find a local cache guardian. If a volunteer does raise his hand it would be greatly appreciated. The cache was approved and posted to avoid creating abandoned geolitter. If anyone finds this cache to be in less than pristine condition please pick it up and take it with you. Make a note in the log and the cache owner will then archive the cache.
Updated coordinates on 1/11/06 after several cachers listed new coordinates. My old GPS was bouncing around the day I placed cache. Sorry for any confusion. There is no need to go deep into the thick cover. I did not get wounded when I place cache.
