Don’t Mesa With Me Traditional Cache
x_0: Well it had a 15 year run... which is pretty good in my book. My Sedona family has either died or moved and my trips to AZ are few and far between these days. It’s time to let this one go. Thanks to everyone who found this one. And special thanks to the folks who did emergency maintenance for me over the years.

Brins Mesa, off Soldier’s Pass in Sedona AZ.
This is a very scenic cache overlooking the Soldier’s Pass
Area.
The intended approach is through Soldier’s Pass. You can park at N
34° 53.056' W 111° 47.025'.
It is about a 1.5 to 2 mile hike to the cache itself from there.
When you see a sign for “the arches” (informal trails from this
point) stay straight on the trail (follow the sign, not the main
trail which heads left).
This cache may also be reachable by an
alternate back route. We are unsure of the difficulty of the
alternate route, but it is likely significantly less difficult in
terrain. Please only take this route after having attempted the
intended route. If, after making a first attempt, you do not feel
comfortable with the terrain, logs from the alternate route will be
accepted.
Scott of Ropingthewind has verified the posted co-ordinates.
+-3ft
Thanks Scott!
Also it appears the arches sign has disappeared, so keep your eyes
open for cairns and cow trails and you should be fine.
2005-03-23 Updated the difficulty rating, add Geo-Attributes. Kids
may be ok, but you will really really really need to watch them at
the cache, if you do not want your kids near cliffs or high places
then plan your outting to not include children.
