I came across this location when on the way to verify coordinates for another cache. I’ve enjoyed these back roads when riding my motorcycle, but somehow managed to miss this place on numerous rides. The cache is pretty straightforward, and given the small size of the site, I’d encourage you to take a roundabout path leading up to it.
I find that when visiting places like this, I reflect on what the area may have looked like 50, 100 or even 150 years ago. After the gold hunters passed through, orchards sprung up all around this area. Now only scattered clumps remain, replaced by a new crop of large homes and estates. Some of the monuments are likely tied to that history.
The cache is a small plastic container. It includes a small logbook and Geocaching note as well as a variety of trade items (don’t worry, the initial supply includes a Squirrel Pin!)
Please be respectful of the site or any sites of this nature!!! You do not need to trample around or cross private areas to find this cache. If you have to do any of those things, you are doing something wrong!
