Geocache Description:

The cache is situated through a pocket of beech forest which is found 7km off the West Coast Road.

The cache is a 200ml round, screwtop container with a yellow lid.

Park at: S43 17.458 E171 55.519 and enter the bush through the gate. It is a lovely walk on "padded" bush tracks. It could be difficult to get satellite coverage in the bush. At every fork take the left hand (uphill) option. You will eventually come to the old stile which now has a gap in the fence beside it. In front of you will be a new fence with a new stile! Climb over it and follow the rough, meandering path that goes through gorse and long grass. when you come to the bulldozed track just walk across it and keep going until you come to a 'lookout' seat at the top. The satellite coverage is good once you get over the stile.
Sit on the seat and admire the view. The cache is now less than 10m behind you. (NW) Look around the middle pine tree.
