Geocache Description:

Parking Coordinates: N40 36.365 W089 36.237 Most of this well-marked trail is level but there are some hills. It is about a half mile hike to the cache. Walking sticks are very helpful during the slippery season.

Peek-In Parks Triple Play series is a group of three caches that will introduce you to Pekin Park District’s three outer parks. The first two caches contain coordinates to the third cache.

These caches are placed with the permission of the Pekin Park District. Our thanks to the Director of Parks and Superintendent of Parks for their approval, and a special thank you to the Superintendent of Recreation for the time and effort she put into making this happen. If you run across the Chief Ranger be sure to talk with him. We’ve been told that he is very proud of these outer parks and is happy to see them utilized. You can find a map of this park here. The cache container is a 7.62 mm ammo can (10 x 8 x 4). When placed it contained a logbook & pencil, flashlight, doll set, sewing kit, compass set, small diagonal pliers, luggage lock, mini-deck of cards, tissues, patriotic pen, small toy cars, and glow-in-the-dark superballs.

There is also a key locker attached to the inside of the lid containing one half of the coordinates that you will need to find Peek-In Parks Triple Play #3 cache.

This cache is located roughly 20 feet off the trail. Stay on the trails. There is absolutely no reason to leave them until the last 20 feet or so. This is the first of three pilot caches that the Pekin Park District has allowed us to place. If all goes well they will consider allowing more caches to be placed in their 2,500 acres of parkland. As always, Cache In, Trash Out!
