Geocache Description:

A hike along the bike 'n hike trail to visit a couple of oddities.

This cache was originally hidden by SherwoodForest and has been adopted by Team 4agers in his memory.

Come on a journey to see a couple of oddities hidden along the bike 'n hike trail in northern Sagamore Hills.

I've been hiking this trail more often lately (due to the rather early sunsets and the proximity of this trail to where I work), and thought this would make an intriguing hunt.

Absolutely no off-trail hiking is needed (so please stay on the trails)

Start from the parking lot on Alexander Road (aka Pleasant Valley to the west or Pettibone to the East). Follow the trail south. In the section south of Sagamore road, you will find the Stairway to Nowhere at the above coordinates. There is also an oddly-shaped sycamore tree about 600 feet further down the trail that I call the handle tree (it seems to have a handle just like a teacup). A good view can also be had further south at the bridge over Valley View Road (aka Canal Road).

For verification, please e-mail me the number of steps (not counting the pad at the bottom) that compromise the Stairway to Nowhere. Cachers not providing the Answer will be subject to the removal of their logs.

Cache well, and see you around the bend
