Nestled among interesting geological formations overlooking Simi Valley is Sage Ranch Park. On the day I hid this cache, several family groups (all with young kids) were walking the well maintained 2.5 mile Sage Ranch loop trail. The camo’d 1.7 pint Rubbermaid cache container is hidden on the side of a large sandstone rock formation. The best access to get onto the rock is by a trail near the north side of the campground: N 34° 14.542 W 118° 40.623.
The cache has been stocked with a log book & pen, gold sand dollar, angel pin, collectors edition convertible Corvette, small stapler, whistle, magnetic mini clip, key chain, plastic Piglet figure, plastic sword, refrigerator magnet, Where’s George Dollar, Pete The Pirate II travel bug and a Conejo Cachers Geocoin, personalized by EMC of Northridge, CA.
