Geocache Description:

Located just south of Osceola in a wooded creek valley featuring small sandstone cliffs and huge white pines.

Located south of Osceola in a creek valley just downstream from where a small creek springs forth from the side of a hill. (n45 17.488 w092 44.485) Nearby is a 100+ year old stone chimney about 30 feet tall that I have been told was used as a brick kiln. (n45 17.463 w092 44.443) Downstream from here (n45 17.685 w092 44.527) there is a small water falls some folks call Butternut Falls, others call it Buttermilk Falls.

This cache is located on private property near, but not in the Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway and it is not on NPS land. Brian R. Adams St. Croix NSR Chief, Resource Protection, has verified that NPS rules banning caches on NPS land do not apply to private lands in the Scenic Riverway.

This is a clear Tupperware container, you should start at the new parking area about 1/2 mile down the minimum maintenance road ((n45 17.357 w092 44.584).

This road is not plowed in winter, but 4 wheel drive cars go in and out of here all winter long.

No rocks or timber needs to be disturbed to find this cache, please leave the area as you found it.

Waterproof boots or good balance will be needed!

Cache will start with 10 old solid silver half dollars and a few little toys.
