Welcome to The Pavement Ends cache.
This cache defines the end of the official paved Pleasant Valley Road and the beginning of the dirt path to Tompkins Cove.
There are many fine caches in Doodletown and from my experience if there is a block of caches they will come.
Pleasant Valley Road is the main street through Doodletown and this pretty much defines the Southern end of the hamlet. The paved road ends here at the Stalter home and a dirt path continues south to the G. Tomkins property and Tompkins Cove.
The cache is located on the Rhodes property and is in an ammo can. Please re-hide the container as you found it. This is a busy place during the summer
When you come to Doodletown be sure to bring some food, a camera, and plenty of time to spend. It’s a wonderful place full of surprises and history.
Also bring your binoculars, it’s a super birding area by the reservoir.
