This is a unique monument honoring Surveyors with references to local history.
The Base Line Monument is truely a work of art created by a local artest David Barr. It tells the story of surveyers and their roll in the mapping out of the state and the nation. Baseline Road is the East West survey anchor.
Base Line Monument is the first of a Michigan statewide series of sculptures that incorporate art with local history.
