Geocache Description:

One of several drawbridges and ferries that make up the transportation system connecting the system of levee roads in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River delta.

Located on the West side of the river just before Grand Island Road. The container is a micro. Bring your own pen to sign the log.

For bonus points, check out the following:

1. The booth at the north end of the bridge. Was it for the operator or an old gas pump?
2. The humongous counter-balance weight on the bridge.
3. The plaque that commemorates the construction of the bridge.

There is room to safely park. Be cautious of traffic when you are seeking out the cache and answers to the questions, people can drive crazy on the River Roads.

Update 9/13/08 - The cache has been moved off the bridge. The coordinates have been updated.
