Geocache Description:

The cache is accessible from either Garforth or Aberford along a bridleway. For those who enjoy walking in wooded areas this cache offers a great deal. Waterproof foot wear is recommended, except in very dry weather.

Garforth was the terminus of the Aberford Railway, known locally as the "Fly Line". Richard Oliver Gascoigne had the single track built in the 1830's to carry coal from Garforth to Aberford, literally by horse power. Passenger services were subsequently introduced, people travelling in the "High Flyer" until 1881. The train would freewheel down the gradient from Garforth to Aberford, the horse riding in a "dandy cart" behind. The freewheeling continued even with the introduction of steam locomotives to the line in the 1870's.

The cache is a clear 1 litre plastic tub containing typical geo-caching treasures.
