Mount Hope Farm is a beautiful piece of historic property that
covers more than 200 acres. The main "trail" is wide and paved -
great for walking, running, biking, strollers. Dogs, leashed, are
also allowed. There are woodland trails throughout the property as
well. With snow on the ground, skiing or snow
shoeing would be great. However, the cache site has tricky footing,
and a fall could be ugly in icy conditions. Also, cache will be
REALLY hard to locate with substantial snowfall on the
ground.
This cache is located close to the main trail and is about a
mile walk from parking, give or take - have a seat and look out at
the Mount Hope Bridge. Continue on to the cabin - you are welcome
to look around. If gate near cabin is closed due to a function at
the cabin, you can still access the cache.
To tour the grounds more thoroughly and pick up some local
history, I recommend that you do the three letterboxes hidden here
as well. For letterbox clues, visit
