Geocache Description:

Originally placed by WebbyCat & adopted by KoonsKachers Nov 2010.

My second cache at Fort Scott Lake.

Fort Scott Lake, situated a few miles southwest of the city, offers camping, boating, skiing and swimming. It's a nice place to visit no matter what time of year. In this area of the lake, there are lots and lots of cedar trees-some big and some small.

The cache is in an ammo box and contains various items for trade.

Total round trip walking distance to the cache and back is less than two tenths of a mile. Most of the walk is over level meadow-type area, then some thin brush & finally the beginning of a steep, rocky bank. The easiest way to get to the cache is to walk in from the south.

Please be careful - there are lots of tree stumps & vines to trip over & the bank is very steep, with loose rocks.
