A pleasant walk on a well maintained trail on Anderson Island.
You'll need to take the ferry from Steilacoom to get to this one. The ferry ride alone is worth the trip, but there are many other caches on the island as well and it's very possible make it a full day of caching. Anderson Island is a true gem in the Puget Sound, but plan ahead so you don't get stuck on the island, as the ferry does not run late on weekdays. This cache is located in Jane Cammon Park. Take the Jane Cammon Walking and Bicycle Trail to get there. Ask at the Island General Store for directions to the trailhead. The cache is in a rubbermaid container within feet of the trail, so no bushwacking is needed. This cache is in memory of our much-loved yellow lab, Daphne, who died far too young of a breathing disorder. She loved coming to the island so much that we called her our "Island Dog". The cache is filled with all manner of dog things that she would have loved: a ball, a bandana, a tug-of-war toy, pup-eroni's, a dog and dog house pin, a rubber ring toy. You don't need to replace with dog items; any trades are fine.
