Accessible all year. The cache was placed in the winter, so some
suspicious vegetation in the cache area wasn't positively
identified, but may be poison ivy, so please know how to identify
it in season. The cache is a couple hundred feet off the trail in
open woods. For a nicer walk, park near 43* 11.280'N, 77*
53.155'W.
Located in Northampton Park, a Monroe County (NY) park located
between Spencerport and Brockport. A relatively short walk (5/8
mile from the suggested parking area) along a scenic creekside path
(or a shorter, nondescript walk from the other direction). The
cache area contains some possibly century-old relics of past use of
the area.
The cache is in a painted Miracle Whip wide-mouth jar (replacing
the original ammo can that was stolen in June 2009). The box
contains only a log book to sign but there is room for a few small
items if anyone wants to leave anything.
