Geocache Description:

Easy 2 mile round trip hike with a gradual climb along the Appalachian and Benton MacKaye Trails to a beautiful waterfall that flows all year long. The cache was replaced on September 22, 2019, after going missing.

From Blue Ridge follow old US 76 to Aska road. Turn south and go 13.8 miles to the end of the road. Turn right on Newport Road and go 4.3 miles to the end of the road. Turn left, cross bridge over Noontootla Creek and continue on a gravel road. Pass a cemetery and church and come to an intersection 0.6 mile from the bridge. Turn hard right on FS 58 and go southeast into the forest along this road 6.6 miles to the Three Forks parking area. From the parking area, follow the Appalachian Trail/Benton MacKaye Trail northeast. In less than 1 mile you'll come to a fork where the Appalachian Trail, Benton MacKaye Trail, and the Long Creek Falls trail separate. Follow the Long Creek Trail for a little over a 10th of a mile to the falls. After relaxing at the falls, go back to where the trails split and start your search for the cache.
