Geocache Description:

At the heart of Beech Mountain, near the Ski Slopes and a well known merchantile establishment on 184

If you have ever been to Beech Mountain, you have undoubtably been to this place. I consider it the center of civilization here on Beech. I probably visit this place at least once a day during my regular stays here for some food, hardware, skis, or just to chat with the proprietor. The cache location is actually the site of numerous free summer concerts and it is also a good place to rest your feet and shake off the snow after playing on the nearby sledding slope (they blow man-made snow on the sledding hill when weather permits).

The cache is a small screwtop cylinder containing only a log. It's attached to a snug spot in the very shadow of a nearby man-made structure. Bring your own pen. Please be sure to wrap the log in the plastic bag and put the container back securely when you are done.
