This "Refrigerator" holds an ice cube size container that is not in the open, but rather well hidden, it is especially hard to find in the Fall with leaf cover and Winter with the snow, thus the 4 star difficulty rating. of the container.
The coordinates listed are for a parking area. (Sometimes it is closed for the season). To find this cache you first have to visit 'Turtles Rest' - (WGS84), with waypoint GCH3RP. After finding Turtles Rest, you will see a red brick with a 3 digit number on it. You will have to add the number to both the North and West coordinates. The coordinates to add to are: N 41 13.036, W 087 58.821. As an example, if the 3 digit number was 200, you would make the North coordinate 41 13.036 plus 200 which would be 41.13.236., and the West would turn out to be 087 59.021. Because of snow or leaf cover, the 3 digit number at Turtles Rest is also on the inside of the top of the cache. After you find the Chief's Refrigerator cache, move on to 'What Are Those Lights In The Sky' (waypoint GCHEBM).
