Short hike to neat getaway.
This was my wife's favorite hike. A short hike through a low saddle puts you in a valley that you can see for ½ mile with no signs of civilization. There are a lot of trails in this area used by the locals. Trail is suitable for all ages and animals. Two trailhead culdesacs furnish easy parking and trail access.
Cache is a small plastic container with several small items. Just a few feet off the trail, and of course under rocks.
The parking at the West trail head is posted NO PARKING 6 PM to 6 AM. The East trail head is now posted NO PARKING ANYTIME. This will add about 250 feet more to the hike.
When you see Cameron's Cairn (it has always been there) you did not find it but are close.
11-2004 The cairn is no more, it has been knocked down (see new picture) but the cache is fine.
Remember: Cache in/Trash out
