Geocache Description:

A very easy multicache which should take no more than 30 minutes to complete.

Easy free parking is available very near the above co-ordinates

To find the final location you need to visit the church of St.Mary Magdelene near Exford at the above co-ordinates. At the main gate you will find the gravestone of Amos Cann

Amos died when walking from Exford to Porlock during a severe blizzard in March 1891, his body was not found for three weeks.

The inscription on the gravestone reads.

You that are young behold and see

How quickly death has conquered me

Its fatal stroke it was too strong

It cut me off while I was young

The God above he knows for why

That in my youth I was to die

On the gravestone are the month year and age when he died.

The final co-ordinates for the cache are N 51°08.A06 W 003°38.0B5

Where A = The first digit of his age and B = The last digit of his age.

The walk to the cache from here should take no more than 10 minutes on public footpaths.

The cache is a standard "Hornet" ammo box which contains lots of goodies and of course a Gecko.

The cache is VERY near a footpath, and although very quiet if you think you have been discovered looking for it please feel free to re-locate it and let us know. We can then alter the co-ordinates and have fun finding it!!

Have fun.
