Cache Coordinates(modified) N41 20.316, W079 46.187. The cache is NOT located at these coordinates.
Note: All of the coordinates listed in this cache description are modified, including the parking coordinates. You must first solve the riddle to get the correct coordinates. Count the number of letters in your answer to the riddle, multiply by two, then add your final number to the middle number (after the decimal) in the Latitudinal (North) Coordinates.
This cache site is located adjacent to the Franklin-Belmar Bicycle Trail. Parking is available at N41 19.930, W079 46.473 (approximately a 1 mile walk to the site with a small amount of climbing). Closer parking (0.3 mile) is available at N41 20.612, W079 46.375 but requires driving down a steep dirt road (Astral Road) to the parking area and can be treacherous in wet weather. For those more hardy, or with bicycles, the Franklin parking area is on the trail approximately four miles away. We started this cache with lots of goodies and several things that kids will enjoy. We hope that you enjoy the beautiful scenery in this area that we call home. Captain Dan & Mate
GeoRiddle:
I was found in the ground by men so bold,
Close to this cache where I long lay cold
I run through pipes this way and that,
and rest for awhile in a tank or a vat
My color is black, but I'm known as gold,
a fortune I've made for many I'm told
I've been here before the earliest man,
but today my fate is to live in a can.
What Am I?
If you solve this riddle, you'll know where it is.
We hope you enjoy this walk and the quiz.
