I have visited this site lots of times and never seen a snake, however, I did once run into a rattler nearby, right on the Appalachian Trail. Hey, it's the woods, you just might see a snake, and if you see one (in these parts) it most likely will be a rattler.
Between the Appalachian Trail and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Between milepost 0 and 1. This cache can be accessed from the Parkway or the Appalachian Trail. Access from the Parkway is much shorter.
There is no trail to the cache. This cache is right smack in the middle of the woods.
