Geocache Description:

This cache is located off the Town of Ballston (NY) Veteran’s Bike Path near Ballston Lake. This little known bike path is adjacent to the Amtrak railroad and was part of a former trolley line which traveled from Schenectady to the summer resorts along Ballston Lake.

Parking is available at N 42° 54.625, W 73° 52.550 at the trail head/end. Cache is about .2 miles off the flat paved bike path. Total round trip is about 2½ miles. Along the way there are signs indicating the trolley stops which existed about 100 years ago. Bike path continues for another couple of miles and ends at the northern end of Ballston Lake.
