Boulder Flat Traditional Cache

Located along the Ballantine Trail near Boulder Flat along the Beeline Highway (Highway 87).
I decided to hide a series of caches along a trail that has not yet been discovered by geocachers. This is the last of 3 that I hid on the day. This was a fantastic hike, I just wish I had more time to explore further down the trail (ran out of daylight). This is as far as I got as it was getting near sunset and I didn't have a flashlight with me. From the parking lot to this cache and back to the parking lot, it was a total round-trip of around 2 hours.
The container is a small cookie tin spray-painted black. Be sure to bring a writing utensil to sign the log as the pen in the cache might not work. Watch out for cholla on the final climb to the cache site, my friend got "bitten" by a few and it wasn't pleasant. This cache is not too far off of the trail, so no need to bushwack.
As with any hiking cache, be careful and watch for loose rocks. Also, make sure to bring plenty of water and watch out for snakes and other desert critters.
