Pony Express Cache; not Part of the Powertrail Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

drofrockology: Too damn many caches cluttering up the desert. Time to kill this one. Too bad Geocaching has become a game of numbers instead of adventure.

Geocache Description:

This cache is near one of the many desert wells along the historic Pony Express Trail.
It was placed during the plotting of waypoints to do the Dead Camel Cache Adventure and re-finding the Needle in a Camel's Eye cache that I hid in July 2003 and proceeded to lose the coordinates.

This is a typical Dr. of Rockology Rubbermaid Cache.
It can be accessed easily from Alternate Hwy. 95 or from Hooten Wells.
The road is not very rough, so most vehicles could traverse this part of the PXT as long as it’s not very wet.

Travelers coming to and from Las Vegas may find it to be a nice break in the long drive to and from.
Better plan on at least a half-hour to access the cache area, find and return to
the highway.

This Geocache was placed here a decade before the Powertrail.
