This Multi-Cache is located in Eagle Lakes Community Park and involves virtual cache sights and the final regular cache is a standard ammunition box. It will help to have a compass, but you will probably get by without one.
This is a relatively easy Multi-Cache that requires an easy walk with some bushwhacking at the final cache sight. You will not have to move your car once you arrive at the park. I have driven by this park for over five years and never realized what this park had to offer. You might want to bring a camera and binoculars for the wonderful birding experience. The final cache sight is dry at this time of year, but it looks like it could get a bit wet during the rainy season. I will keep an eye on it after we start getting rain. It may require boots at that time of year.
INSTRUCTIONS:
First location – Go to coordinates listed for the cache and look for the yellow Birdsill Holly. Stand at location and look 50 degrees and walk 170 yards.
Second location – Find 2 signs ( on the building, not on the door) on your right when you've completed 170 yards. Turn to face these signs. Count the number of letters in the sign on your left and divide by 3. This number = L. Count the number of letters in the sign on your right and divide by 6. This number = R. Use this sequence, LRRL , to place in the formula for the north coordinates below. Now look 40 degrees and walk 176 yards.
Third location – Find Wooden Structure and count number of parallel boards that are under your feet that lead to main structure. Use this number in the formula for north coordinates below.
Also use this number for the west coordinates below. Now you have the coordinates for the final cache sight.
Final location – N 26 04.____ W 081 43.____
Formula for North Coordinates
Starting Number 6825
Subtract the second location number LRRL - ____
Subtract the number of parallel boards at Wooden Structure - ____
This equals the last three numbers of North Coordinates ???
Formula for West Coordinates
Number of parallel boards at wooden structure minus 15.
This equals last three numbers of West Coordinates 0??
