Approximately .7 miles from the intersection of Sandpit Road and the Railroad Grade in Mason, New Hampshire. Off the side trail by 50', you can see the granite blocks of the old cellar foundation. Elevation by Garmin Map 76S GPS is 542'.
This is a beautiful and historic part of southern NH. The area used to be a granite quarry, with lots of evidence of that activity still around. Coyne LN is foot/bike/horse/snowmobile only as is Scripps LN. Parking is available at the Jct of Sandpit Rd and the old B&M RR Grade. Bear R as you face S toward the RR grade--- there is a trail that goes up. Stay w/in 50' of trails as some of the surrounding land is private and posted. Most land is public conservation, free access.
The cache container is located in the corner of the cellar hole nearest you and to the right as you face the foundation. It is tucked into some blocks, but is in pretty much plain sight. The container is white topped tupperware type. The Cache currently contains coins (not rare, larger denomination or valuable), pencils, pencil sharpener and log book. Please take and leave an unusual coin or other trinket as a treasure!
