To paraphrase. The reasons that led me to fix the cache where it is I do not expect to be generally understood…I leave it to posterity…to decide whether I am entitled to praise or to blame
Imperial units were in vogue when this man did his work.
Firstly you need to find his grave. It is not far away. Measure the distance to the starting point in furlongs. (Round to next whole number).
Now multiply the number of furlongs by the magic golden value (Difference between the year the statue was erected and the year the monument was unveiled by Bruce). The result of the calculation is a distance in chains. The cache is located at this distance from the starting point.
The true bearing is the thing. The calculation for the projected bearing is the magic silver value (the year the man was conceived) divided by that same number of furlongs.
Off you go then. It is in one of Bruce’s occy containers in a suitable caching spot. As always replace it in the hiding spot. Google is probably a good place to start. Hint: try the google conversion function, it is magic.
