Geocache Description:

An easy hike of less than .2 miles one way on an old roadbed.

Directions: From the intersection of Hwy 64 and Hwy 276 in Pisgah Forest, drive north on Hwy 276 for 5.2 miles, then turn left onto Forest Service Road 475. When the road turns to dirt drive approximately 4.2 miles and you will see a parking area on the left side of the road. To the left of the parking area you will see a gate and trail sign for the cemetery loop trail.

From the parking area take the Cemetery loop Trail behind the gate. Less than 300 feet from the parking area you will come to a “y” intersection take the left fork and follow your GPS.

The cache is a one quart plastic jar, and contains a log and some exchangeable items. The cache is placed less than 12 feet off the old road bed. The coordinates were very good from the roadbed but would waiver some at the cache location.

Please keep in mind that animals have VERY sensitive noses, so please do NOT put food, candy, mints, or other scented items like candles or soaps into the cache. Animals smell it and think it is food.

Thanks
