Geocache Description:

An easy hike of .38 miles one way along an old roadbed. Binoculars could be an asset on this cache.

Directions: From the intersection of Hwy 64 and Hwy 276 in Pisgah Forest, drive north on Hwy 276 for 5.2 miles, then turn left onto Forest Service Road 475. When the road turns to dirt drive approximately 4.2 miles and you will see a parking area on the left side of the road. To the left of the parking area you will see a gate and trail sign for the cemetery loop trail.

From the parking area take the Cemetery loop Trail behind the gate. Less than 300 feet from the parking area you will come to a “y” intersection take the left fork and follow your GPS.

The cache container is a small plastic jar with a screw-on lid. Bring a pen or pencil to sign the homemade log.

As you come up the road bed your GPS should point you in the right direction. When you get within 20 feet of the cache your GPS may get a little squirrely, let your GPS settle. You do not have to go downhill.

Images are provided to aid in your search.

Please keep in mind that animals have VERY sensitive noses, so please do NOT put food, candy, mints, or other scented items like candles or soaps into the cache. Animals smell it and think it is food.

Thanks
