The Old Stoll Place Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

WebbyCat: I have found out there have been meth labs discovered on some of Troike farm lands. In the past few months, there has been a lot of problems with anhydrous ammonia being stolen from businesses and farms in this area, so who knows how many more meth labs there are. All the old buildings on my farmstead series are perfect places for geocaching, but unfortunately are also a perfect place for a meth lab setup by the area meth makers.
The property owners have said that the caches could still stay up, but I don't want to run the risk of cachers running into meth makers and getting harmed, or getting accosted and questioned by patroling law enforcement officials.

Cache is archived and removed.

Geocache Description:

Cache is located on the old Stoll farm.

This is the old Stoll homeplace. The Stolls were first generation Americans who came from German Lutheran immigrants. The Stolls lived on the little farm their entire adult life.

Even though the Stolls have been gone for several years, it's still known as the old Stoll place, and will probably be known as the old Stoll place for many years to come. They raised seven daughters in the little two bedroom house which seems remarkable in this day and age.

When Mr. Stoll died, his widow, Elsie lived alone on the place for many years until she finally died about 18 years ago at a very ripe old age. The house has been vacant since she died and is deteriorated beyond repair.

When Mrs. Stoll eventually died, the place was purchased by Jerome Troike of Troike Farms, and he has graciously given permission to place a cache.

The cache is in an ammo box and contains various items for trade.

The terrain is easy with no bushwacking, but the walking distance will vary according to how far you can drive up the driveway. If you have a truck and the driveway is not wet, you will only have to walk about a hundred feet or less. If you are in a car that rides low or the driveway is very wet, you will probably have to walk part of the driveway instead of driving. The driveway is about one forth mile long, so at the very most, the round trip walk will be about a half mile.
