Geocache Description:

Cache is located in an easy spot. it's a very short walk to the cache. it may not look it but this is a vital piece of woods.
you can park at 40*55878 / 73*03.313 off to the side!

There used to be houses on this spot, but the state bought them to build a road there, RT25A, to bypass port jeff village. however, it seems those plans are no longer a reality and this is now going to be the beginning of a nature walk to stony brook, 3.3 miles. i hope this happens soon, but i don't think it will in my lifetime!!! this is state property and it is a mess right now. you may look for this cache in there. be gentle though.

Cache is a green ammo box filled with lots of goodies and a bug!!!!
