Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Harold Hecht Park, home of the Steger Little League and it's a just a short walk through the fields and into the woods to the cache. Sorry, no dogs, no golfing and no parking on the grass. You are looking for a 7.6 cup Rubbermaid container with a red lid.

Your goal was to find all of the pieces of the flag from the five Flag Quilt caches but one of them went missing so I've converted this six cache series into individual caches.

This is one of the caches in a series stocked mostly with stuff thrown out by my co-workers due to my employers new 'Clean Desk Policy'. At our office it now looks like the building is empty and they are waiting for someone to rent out the space. The only thing on any desk is a PC and a phone, no personal items, no paper at all; even an IN Box has to be empty when you leave. The really funny thing is that they had just spent good money on the "Fish" program which explained to everyone how beneficial it is to allow employees to personalize their workspace. Oh well, now it's more important to have a spartan work environment to protect us from the fire hazards of paper products but, the geocaching community is the beneficiary as all my co-workers tossed everything of a nick-knack nature into a shopping bag for me.

I've hidden over 70 caches and found more than 1,600 and this is the very first time I've ever lost my GPSr in the woods. Lucky for me there was snow on the ground so I was able to double back and follow my tracks around the woods and eventually find the ratty old thing. It's all dinged up but it's my trusty friend and I'd have been lost without it.

Update 6/27/2006 ---- Many thanks to dd29 who stopped out today and cleaned up the cache contents and replaced the container and log so it's all nice and new and clean and waiting for the next finders.
