The posted coordinates are for the first stage of a multi-cache.   At these coordinates you will find a small herd of buffalo standing in honor of one of San Angelo's favorite Good Old Boys and America's best western author.

Directly in front of the herd is a plaque.  Using the code below you must translate letters from the plaque into numbers for the coordinates to the finale cache. For example:  The word CAT would be converted to the number 497.  A worksheet has also been provided below for your convenience.  The final cache is a camo painted Altoid can.

Directions for Final Cache NORTH Coordinates

To determine your first set of coordinates, use the first word, in the first line, and add to that number 399.

XXXXXXX + 399 = North Coordinates

Directions for Final Cache WEST Coordinates

Using the first 8 letters of the storyteller's name, convert it to digits using the code sheet and add 17022 to that number to determine the second set of coordinates. This set of numbers will take you to another buffalo herd and the final cache.
