This cache is situated on the hillside above one of the most visited National Trust Properties, Fountains Abbey. The cache is situated on just inside the abbey grounds, on a free access bridal way. Parking is available at N54 06.368 W 001 35.082. From this point follow the bridle path.....
There are fantastic views of the Abbey and surrounding buildings... well worth a picture. For those visiting Fountains this cache will give you a view never visited before, and not commonly accessed by the visiting public.

For those who attempt this cache during normal working hours, please note that there is building work going on within 40 feet of the cache. The builders know all about the cache and will be only too happy to have a chat ! - Dont be put off.
The builders are re-building the external wall around fountains and are using traditional techniques including the same morter that the wall was originally built, have a chat with them, if you are interested in the techniques.
