Geocache Description:

This is an easy cache & dash. But please park legally!!!
CAUTION! This cache is near LAX airport. Please use reasonable discretion when hunting this cache. For example at midnight on September 11th is probably a bad idea.
Please make sure to replace the cache exactly WHERE and HOW you found it!

The Road Rash Cache is located at a spot my friends and I stop at on our daily bicycle ride to work. We find "road rashed junk" from along the side of the road and collect it here. This "collection" changes as we find new things so feel free to take a picture and post it with your log. The actual cache is a "Cammo'ed" Candy Tin. It is small but big enough for a couple of small flat items you will need your own pen to sign the log. The most difficult aspect of this cache is parking. There is NO PARKING on Imperial Hwy. But Imperial Ave runs parallel and just to the south and there is ample parking there near the Embassy Suites Hotel. You may have to walk a few yards but better that than a run in with the police.
Since all good GeoCachers practice "cache-in trash-out" let us remark on the difference between Trash and Junk. Trash is stuff of no value that is to be thrown away. Junk, on the other hand, is stuff that is still perfectly good, but has fallen into disuse simply because it's been a little battered and possibly replaced with something newer. If you wish to add to the junk pile "on top", get it from the roadway and keep it small.
There have been problems with the cache "moving". Make a special effort to remember EXACTLY where you find the cache and put it back in the same spot. If the 1st hint doesn't make sense the cache is in the wrong spot.

Note: Some of the road rash'ed items are actually port-keys so beware of muggles.
