Bike n' Hike Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Abe Froman: Hello! I am a Geocaching.com volunteer cache reviewer and I am responding to a report from the McHenry County Conservation District that this cache has an expired permit.

You can learn more about the geocaching policy for McHenry County Conservation District lands here: http://www.mccdistrict.org/web/re-geocache.htm

If you are able to renew the permit I will be happy to unarchive the cache. Otherwise, please pick up your cache so that it doesn't become litter.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me through my profile.

Thanks,
Abe Froman

Geocache Description:

Notice: This Geocache is on McHenry County Conservation District Property with permission. Absolutely no cutting of brush or other vegetation is allowed. Visitors must remain on designated trails until you are right at the cache. It is your responsibility to orient yourself with MCCD
site rules. Sites are open sunrise to sunset, however some gates may not be open until 8am. At certain times of the year, sites will close for a variety of reasons

In the Summer, just follow your GPS to the spot. In the winter, you may want to park by Route 31, and Huntington. The trials are also very icey in the winter, so please be careful.

***For conservation purposes please do not place food, inappropiate, offensive, or hazardous materials in the cache. It is your responsivilty to be able to orient yourself with the rules of MCCD. These can be found on the district wedsite.

NOTE: AS OF JUNE 2007: Due to high brush content, this geocash may be hard to find. For your safety where long plants, and bug spray.

Remember, this cache is on McHenry County Conservation District property, and it will be a great loss to myself as well as other cachers when I am told to remove the cache due to cachers disrupting the conservation district's effort to keep this area looking beautiful for years to come.
